Yummy!

I made a kickass salad - black olives (the kind of dried in olive oil type not the canned type), mixed greens, orange bell pepper (if it's orange it's good), dried blueberries, feta cheese with lemon and garlic with Paul Newman's olive oil and vinegar salad dressing dosed up with balsamic vinegar. It's totally yummy. Walnuts would have been a good addition.

Good news! I found a PINK DOT APPROVED MOTORCYLE HELMET!!!
I've been wondering where my scooter cover seat is as I ordered it awhile ago so I was checking out scooterseatcovers.com to see if there was anything on that but there isn't.

Kathi and I went to see Brokeback Mountain. She thought it was too long and boring and I thought it was a beautiful love story. I also thought Heath did an excellent job. I heard absolutely no trace of an Aussie accent and man, did he look good in those jeans. I might go see Casanova just to see Venice. It's such a beautiful city.

I'm going through WOW withdrawal having played a lot in the past couple of days. I need to level up my (princess) warrior. I got Lirael up to a 19 finally and took her on an extended journey and explored a lot. I need to get her a dagger.

Sigh.. long 12 hour plus days. Friday (today), Saturday and Sunday. It's really almost 2006.

At some point here, I'm going to have to bitch and rant about my mother. It's good that she and my father are around as my kids get to see what I had to grow up with. They appreciate me more and maybe, maybe are sympathatic. She seems to do things not because she wants to help or wants to but because she feels like she has to. When I am a grandmother, I am going to help my kids out whenever, however I can and not give them a bill - which is basically what she did. Maybe she just wants to be thanked and thanked and thanked and thanked.

Neurotic, obsessive compulsive me..

AARGH. Why am I being so frigging negative today? I am so good at thinking the worst is going to happen. I worry, worry, worry. I love my boyfriend.

Snap out of it Sara!

Happy Birthday to Gerard Depardieu him of the really weird nose and great acting skills. My favorite movie with him in it is Les Comperes. Pretty funny movie.

I need to listen to some music.

Today I have learned

That no matter how much I plan it out, I still won't get enough sleep.

That the 10 year old actress (Georgie Henley) that plays Lucy in the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, hadn't seen the set for Narnia before she went through the wardrobe so when she comes out in all that snow, she's not really "acting" in awe, she was/is. This I learned from my new Premier magazine.

Peter Jackson the director of The Lord of the Rings, and King Kong is going to be the producter (or it is director?)for a movie about Halo, the game and The Hobbit and The Lovely Bones. Wow.

I am very, very tired and am thinking I will go sleep in the car on my break. The way things are going, Casanova will play in Boulder before Brokeback Mountain. Sigh.

Tell me why I don't like Sunday's

All apologies to Sir Bob Geldof and the Boomtown Rats but that's what been going through my head.

I finished the trashy romance/soft(very)porn romance novel I started yesterday. I swear this is the plot. Big, hunk of a man, always extremely well hung meets (in this case) virginal, unexperienced woman. Then comes some sort of rescue or good vrs. evil subplot to keep you semi-interested inbetween the fabulous sex the hunk and virgin are having. In other words, like, totally, real world. Oh and let's not forget that they fall in love and decide to get married and have babies as well.

Can you imagine what would have happened if Jessica had a baby while she was married to Mr. Lachely? The horrors.

I've already taken a short nap and yes, woke myself up with a snore/snort. I finished one movie magazine and am looking forward to receiving Empire and Premiere again. I guess two movie magazines will be enough. I played a bit on the Hollywood Stock Exchange and moved some $ around there. I put Burt's Bees lemon butter cuticle creme on and some La Roche-Posay hand creme (with shea butter) on my hands. I've read lots of comics and checked out CNN about 5 -10 times already. I applaud the choice of Bill and Melinda Gates as well as Bono for Time magazines' Persons of the Year. As much as I do not like windoz, the Gates' have been very very generous with their money and actually have brains unlike Ms. Hilton (who is not even really worth a mention in my blog).
This is my absolute favorite movie studio (Studio Ghibli) and Princess Monokoke is wonderful. I have to check and see when Howl's Moving Castle comes out on DVD. March 2006 according to Amazon. Must be time to go drag my ass down to the gym and lift some weights with my Ipod. I love my ipod.

More reptiles! Freud would have field day with me...

Hmm.. I'm wondering. I'm both scared and fasinated with snakes. The bigger the better it seems but when I'm at the zoo it is the Black Mambo that I'm really scared about or the little ones that are super poisonous.

Anyway, while searching for hoaxes and falsities on the internet, I came across these interesting pictures. Seems a python ate an entire Impala and then was too fat to slip under the electric wire fencing. The thought is that it became pissed off at the fence and bit it, thereby electrocuting itself.

If you follow the link, you will see the Impala inside the snake after they cut it open.

A girl has got to do what a girl has to do ..

I'm feeling much better after going down the hallway and getting on the leather couch and taking a nap. Except I'm fucking freezing in this building. It could be that I just ate a bunch of mostly frozen mango chunks and that made me cold but combined with all that it is fucking freezing in here and is every winter. I slept like shit last night, starfcks doesn't open until 6 a.m. on Sunday (normally they open at 5 a.m)so I haven't had any coffee and wah, wah, wah. Being a single mom is still not easy, my kids drive me up the wall, are pro's at laying guilt trips on me (thank you Max!), want want want and do nothing to help around the house.

Get this. On the US CNN home page there is NO mention of the political protest going on in Hong Kong and on the BBC news (which I listen to on NPR on Sat/Sun a.m. when driving to work) it was the lead story. I personally think they have about a chance in hell to get the Chinese to let them have diplomatic freedom. That would be a first. I do however, wish them the best in their endeavors.

I guess it's about time for a report on the use of my light. I love it but I don't think it has given me more energy. I do think it's made me in a better mood though. I currently have it set to start getting lighter 1 hour before I have to get up.

I have my hat on now. I also have a long sleeve t-shirt on under a sweatshirt and a scarf on and my jeans and socks and tennis shoes and I'm drinking warm black tea with lemon now.

Last night when I picked Kathi up, I stopped in liquor Mart and bought some "down and dirty" martini mix (which was right next to all the olives so I'm hoping it is olive juice), a little CU shot glass (shh, it's a present), a HUGE bottle of Baileys, a six pack and some little airplane size bottles of booze oh yeh, and a pre-mixed bottle of Jose Cuervo gold margs (yum).

This week I have to: pack, get stuff together for trip, clean up my room (really, really, really), go to PetSmart (kitty litter, water filters for their water fountain, toys, treats) go to PC's, take the dogs to the vet, get a manicure and pedicure (applying hand creme at the thought of hands right now), go get my legs et al waxed (the better to eat you my dear), get and put up the xmas tree, wrap some presents, etc, etc. I'm sure there is more but I can't think of it now.

Celebrity news!
  • Gwenyth Paltrow Martin is pregnant with baby #2

  • Jennifer Garner finally did have her baby and she was induced (leading me to have to retract my previous statements that she wasn't following the trend of babys on demand). So far, Violet seems to be the name.

  • Brad Pitt wants to adopt Angie's kids. What a good guy! Listen ladies, when your guy says he wants kids, he frigging wants kids and NOW. Julia Roberts and Benjamin Pratt, break up and he had two kids before she has her twins and now Brad and Angelina. On the other hand, if he says he doesn't want kids, he doesn't.

  • Athina Roussel (daughter and sole inheritant to the Onassis fortune) got married. I truly wish her and her husband a wonderful life.

I think today I'm going to watch, The transporter, even though it probably sucks.

Peace, out - Sara

Ordered a light to fight SAD

Here it is:

I will give it a try and post how things go using it. I'm hoping for more energy, motivation etc.

Today is our company's kickoff party for FY06! WooHoo! Free lunch, speechs, etc. Then it is home for this camper and off to Max's tennis party. WooHoo again!

Not that I am trying to be a "cool mom" and I certainly wouldn't go as far as that hootchie mama that just got herself 30 years BUT some of these young boys look pretty damn fine, doable, and like they would totally be into sex. I am reminded of the role Mary Steenburgen played in "My life as a House" with Hayden Christensen, Kevin Kline which was a pretty good movie. Sad and not just because the dad has cancer but sad for other reasons.

Sigh.. took the wrong medication last night..

I feel like I didn't sleep at all last night. Usually, I am right out and sleep well but I took this sinus medication that must have been really expired because it didn't do anything. So, I'm tired. I was fine this a.m. like at 4:30/5 a.m. while driving to work an all but then hit and I mean HIT the wall.

I am reading, A Million Little Pieces.

I am listening to my ipod and the cd's I put on it. I especially like the song, Pocket Rocket Queen by Boy from Brazil. I also am listening to the new Robbie Williams cd and the Spamalot CD.

I am pretty sure I left my wallet with my drivers license at home or in the other car.

I don't like winter that much really at all. I don't like it being dark all the time.

There are times when I...true confessions

  • wish I didn't have kids (I'm pretty sure this is a normal thought for those of us that do have kids. It tends to disappear when I look at their pictures and think how much they love me and how much I love them).

  • wish I could just disappear and go live on an island like St. Johns or Turks and Caicos (but with the dogs and cats and without sometimes the kids).

  • wish I was 20 years younger but knowing all that I do now.

  • wish I could eat everything I wanted and not gain weight.

  • wish I didn't have to work.

  • wish that time went slower so I could do everything I wanted in one day (read, watch tv, play Warcraft, workout and more).

  • wish evil, nasty, really bad things on people who have wronged me (but I keep telling myself I'm better then them and that living well is the best revenge).

  • wish I lived somewhere with Palm trees and warm weather, beaches year round or even better that I could just follow the sun and always be in whatever part/hemisphere where it was summer.

  • wish I had a live in or I lived with a partner/lover/boyfriend who would be there to care about and share my life with me (and stay in bed with on Sat/Sun's).

  • wish I had a maid.

  • wish I had tons of money.

  • I still wish I had a horse or two and I wish I could rescue all the homeless dogs and cats.

November resolutions

Wow.
I going to play/learn html now. Today I went in and fixed my previous post and added the html so that the numbers show and there are breaks and the picture is where I want it and it wasn't that hard!
So, November resolutions:

  1. be on time to appointments, meetings, whatever. I'm doing pretty well on this one so far. Not great - I mean, I'm not showing up early for anything but I am on time.

  2. save some money.

  3. get tennis mojo back.

  4. not be redundant - hmm, did I already post my November resolutions? I bet I did.

  5. not be too paranoid.

  6. get more iron. Got my blood work back and not only do I have semi-bad cholesterol, I'm almost anemic. Time to go Popeye and pump up the jam, pump it up, with some spinach.

  7. no more cookies for breakfast - especially when I'm semi-sick and can't taste. It was a waste of a perfectly good HUGE oatmeal raison cookie and I didn't need it.

  8. might actually want to contimplate some sort of new career move, although I make pretty decent cash-ola right now.

Guilty pleasures

  1. Nip/Tuck - great show. Lots of sex and nudity and plastic surgery. I have to admit to wanting to get my boobs done, perked up as it was, eyes are going to be needed to be done before too long, botox is my friend and this site rocks: http://www.yestheyrefake.net

Plus, Julian McMahon is totally HOT.

  2. Irish and Irish/Brit men. They are just exquisite. My number one - easy, Painter. My number two and three - Cillian Murphy ( Batman Begins, 28 days later - opening scene is him nude but how some guy could wake up without a stiffy is beyond me, and the new Neil Jordan movie, Breakfast on Pluto where he will play a beautiful, beautiful transvestite) and Jonathon Rhys-Meyer (Bend it like Beckham, Velvet Goldmine (with Ewan McGregor), Vanity Fair).

  3. Neiman Marcus and shoes - yes, I have spent more than $400 for a pair of shoes. I have 3 pairs of Prada's, one Manolo Blahnik and lots of fancy shoes. I love them. I especially like my Dolce and Gabbana leopard print kitten heels. Right now I'm looking at this pair of boots from Neiman Marcus..see above
I'll never get them but I think they are 100% cute!

  4. US weekly - yup, I read trash. I even look forward to Friday when it comes in the mail.

  5. Ben and Jerry's ice cream (full fat), Whole Foods for greek yogurt, Dalmathes, smoked salmon eskimo candy style, olives, bread - just about everything. KT's barbeque.

  6. driving fast - this from someone who has gotten 4 (count 'em) 4 speeding tickets in 2005 alone.

New York City report and gripes

NYCity was great. Hotel (Mayfair) was a 2 out of 10. Location was great. Spamalot was great - I loved seeing Tim Curry and it was very funny. Phantom of the Opera was beautifully done as well and I enjoyed it much more in english than in german. The weather was cold and rainy/cloudy yucky. We walked a lot and saw a lot more this time. I went to Alexis Bittar's store, Oilily, Dosa, a Swatch store (where the guy who was supposed to be getting something out for me just switched from helping me to helping someone else right in the middle so he loast a sale) and got a yummy, yummy cupcake next to the new Urban Outfitters across the street from Bloomies on 3rd. We took Amtrak to Providence, RI and toured RISD. What a neat school. My daughter pooped out on Sunday and didn't want to go out with me for a drink/dinner and I had (am having) a hard time not being pissed at her because I know my son would have gone with me. We ordered pizza online from Rays and had it delivered. The hotel was without hot water for the entire day of Sunday and it wasn't due to be fixed until after we checked out on Monday. At no time did the management offer to reduce the rate we paid. I don't think any hotel should let a heater go that long unrepaired and if they couldn't get a part until Monday, then they should have replaced the entire thing. As old as this hotel was, my money is on that they have been bandaiding the heater for awhile now and just are too cheap to replace it.

I am not feeling too understanding today. I am stressed about money. I'm tired of doing everything myself and having to be in charge of everything and I'm really glad my kids are going to be gone in November for a week or so even though they are going to have to go visit their father and I am using what little good sense I have not to write anything about him here. Suffice it to say it is a very acrimonious situation.

November resolutions - not just for new years anymore:
1) be on time for all appointments, tennis permanent court time, meetings, plane rides etc..
2) rediscover my tennis mojo - probably off with Andy Roddicks mojo having a good ol time. This will be accomplished by taking drills/skills, lessons with Judi, playing more etc.
3) the usual - lose weight and get in better shape. Just cause I quite FAC doesn't mean I can slack off.
4) sleep more.

I have no beer and no Baileys at home. This is in itself a TRAGEDY and must be remedied. It's 12:48 p.m and I'm hitting the wall. Need sleep. Need excitement.

Had the puppy monster, PD and Buster sleeping with me last night. Love to sleep with them, they keep me so nice and warm.

Am looking at places to stay in Las Vegas when I go for 3 nights in December.

Got eyelashes redone on Monday, they look fabulous, got hair done yesterday, it looks really, really cool. I have a kick-ass halloween hippy costume with new cheap ($49) white fake patent leather boots, purple fishnets, paisley mini dress, funky neon earrings, and a plethora of wigs from long blond and curly to pink bob to purple beehive.

Yippee! Girl geek meter going up!

I changed my html to put some of my favorite links on this blog! All by myself! Yippee!
(beats work I say). Please check them out! Know what is going on in the world, support my favorite artist (smootch), destroy corporate radio, ride a Stella - save some gas, and have a good fantasy game to amuse yourself with.

I am really looking forward to going to NYCity next Thursday. Fun, fun, fun! I have to look for the final touches to my 80's Halloween custom. I just wish I had saved more stuff. Plus, I really think that the way some of the teens these days dress is about how I dressed in the 80's. I remember wearing my black dress, my double wrap studded belt, lots of buttons (Clash, Elvis, Talking Heads, Blondie etc), having a root perm to make my hair stand up more on top (as well as having it dyed pink and blue and magenta), wearing bright color tights and the cutest little pair of low black boots that were kind of slouchy. My bestest friend at the time, Sue, and I used to get all dressed up and go shopping and drink in Burlington like that. I had a major, major crush on a guy named Brett H. who was a member of a local band, the Decentz. I was a groupie for the band, Pinhead (and believe me that is ALL I am going to say about that band or time). I had the best, best pink airforce like jumpsuit with all these nifty zippers. It seems like yesterday but it wasn't. I do still have a really cool old Esprit skirt that is purple and black punky stripe (almost zepra but cooler). Why don't you dance with me? I ain't no limburger...
I still LOVE the B52's...

Gross....remind me not to go into the Everglades..

Today's news of the world that everyone should care about...

just google the phyton who ate the aligator and then exploded.
Apparently people have been letting them loose in Florida and they have
been thriving (surprise, surprise).

Cross-referencing other site...myspace stuff..

cause it's all about me.. and I'm spacey and I have PMS and a gosh darned two handed AXE and I'm a level 20 (and almost a half) kick BUTT girrl warrior so don't mess with me today.

Ya know, Coldplay isn't half bad... Clocks - accoustic version. If Gwyneth and Chris have a boy will they name it after a fruit, state or something nice and old school - like Sam? What about the horrific future of the little scientologist the Kate (no more Katie) and Tom are hatching? I guess he has been using his "tool" more than he did when he was with Nicole or Mimi and not firing blanks either.

This is a test of html:

Check me out!

Stressed, tired and crabby.. I need a NAP!

I'm wacked today. Stayed up too late last night, didn't get enough sleep, I don't like the music I'm listening to - too mellow (Groove Armada - the remixes) - going right to the last song, which I do like - I see you baby (shaking that ass) and I don't even like this remix of it! Crapola.
Then I'm probably going to listen to GRLZ - women ahead of their time - which is a bunch of old really cool girl bands from the late 70's early 80's (slits, delta5, bow wow wow, new age steppers). *** I changed my mind. Upon looking through my drawers (not to be confused with knickers) I found a mix cd that I had made back in the day of grogster (free downloads/file "sharing") and put it in. The first song... was Move on Up (Curtis Mayfield but this version has been discofied/trendyfied) followed by Girlfriend in a Coma - the Smiths... followed by - I can't believe it.. Christina Aguilara - Beautiful remix.
Then I'm going to really hope my eternally "confused" coworker takes his break early so I can sleep at my desk. I have a headache and I want to bitch about everything (at this point, I can hear my daughter going "your mom" which is the punch line to about every joke there is these days).
On a funny note, when I end my WOW play I always get on top of a nice bed in a nice inn (I don't like the beds at Westfall) usually and preferrably next to my favorite night elf (sigh) and /sleep from there. Well, when I start my next session I "wake up" in the same bed and one day I logged on and there was this guy in bed with me. I whispered him, hey, I don't remember you being next to me... and his response was I don't either but I remember your mom. Which, I thought was pretty damn funny considering I am a mom! He was (if it was even a he but considering that not too many females play the game) probably as old as my son.

Reading material for today:
Conte Nast Traveler - October - Asia made Easy (I'd like to go to Indonesia and an island like in The Beach)
MoMA design store - fall 2005 catalog
Time - week of October 3, 2005 - Are we making hurricanes worse? (duh.. how long have we been talking about global warming??? hello??)
Anthropologie - Autumn 2005 catalog
Cuisine at home - new mag - didn't subscribe but... no ads - 100% cooking.. great pic of chicken piccata (YUM) on the cover.
Fitness - August 2005 - Your dream ABS!

and of course, at least one book: A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian by Marina Lewycka.
Check it out here:

I did just get back from LA....but funny the tremors/earthquakes I felt were localized.

Travels with Ssheena - update on life and where are my pictures???

a) why aren't my pictures that I uploaded showing in this blog anymore? What is up with that??

b) Travels - LA, Californication - Hermosa Beach, Santa Monica and LAX and why I think Frontier is a kick ass airline!

c) New York City - ETA 10/20 in the afternoon/evening. Tickets for.... Phantom of the Opera (Kathi's show) AND Spamalot (my show), agenda - FLUFF bakery for homemade snowballs/twinkies and Kathi and I have discussed eating only ethnic food while we are there (ie, Thai, Indian, Chinese, Italien, Vietnamese, etc, etc..) returning back to beautiful Boulder on Monday, October 24.

d) Green Day concert on September 19, Pepsi Center - Billie Joe's voice is showing the wears and tears of a good year on the road but the concert still rocked. Many more people of age there this concert than the first one (like over 30 age people). We missed Jimmy Eat World as the opening act as we got there too late. However, on a side note, I have fond memories of driving home from the concert with 4 teenage girls (17 and 16 years of age) all of us singing at the top of our lungs, "Since you've been gone" by Kelly Clarkson. That song rocks. I can't see any of their moms doing that.

e) snoring at work..sigh. Just went sleeping in a chair leaning back or all the time at home too? Must investigate.

Sebastien (Bastie)'s first Barkday!

My puppy, Bastie, turned 1 year old on August 30th and I ordered him a beautiful "barkday" cake from my absolute favorite pet food and more store, Pc's pantry.
http://www.pcs-pantry.com/aux/home

It's a super store and I believe there is mutual love between the owner and the works and me. I love going into a store and being greeted with a, "hi Sara!". I spend a lot of $$ in there and am a loyal customer.

Bastie is well over 100 pounds now and is the biggest love bug. I will post a picture to this shortly.

Update - Muddy Buddy and Sara goes Hollywood!

Long time - no posting. The Muddy-buddy race was absolutely awesome. Check the photos here until they dissappear:
http://www.brightroom.com/view_user_photo.asp?EVENTID=8416&PWD=&ID=16386276&FROM=photos&BIB=687

My friend, Ellie, and I were the tennis bunnies team and had tennis balls on our helmets and on the bike. We got muddy beyond belief. Our bib number was 687 so if the link above doesn't work, just look for pictures based on the bib number.

I ordered some for posperity. Next year, I want to get t-shirts or some top with a big 10S bunny on them and do more running in prep for it.

Today, September 1, I am off to LAX, Los Angeles, the City of Angels, in Californication (as the Red Hot Chili Peppers call it). I have some shops mapped out - Swatch, Fred Segal, Kitson and want to go to Melrose Ave, and Santa Monica.... Cause all I wanna do is have some fun, I gotta feeling I'm not the only one, all I wanna do is have some fun until the sun comes up over Santa Monica boulevard. (I like a good beer buzz early in the morning).

What is it about the 13th of August???

Dang! It was cold last night. So cold I had to sleep under my downpuff. Cold like in the low 50's cold. So cold I had to investigate and see if I could find if it was a record breaking cold or not. I'm still researching that one - ahha. Found it. According to the NOAA website, the lowest temperature recorded for August was last year on the same day!!! That is just too weird and I wish I was at home right now under my nice warm puff with my little orange/white kitty, P.D. (named after Prince Darien from Sailor Moon) and my long haired calico kitty, Hailey.

Things to do/things to come:
1) list of favorite anime series
2) Stella!!! Adventures in Scootering - the search for a perfect seat cover and other tails
3) Current events: - ie, next Sunday, August 21 - the Muddy Buddy at Boulder Res., trip to NYC, Sara goes Hollywood, reading recommendations.
4) US Open...Montreal - will Rafe beat Agassi?? Is Roger hurt worse than he wants to admit??
5) Forey into the world of gaming - World of Warcraft. Will I ever learn how to walk/run and move in the game or am I doomed to a level less than 10? Why do I get such a perverse thrill when I "rend" something?
6) the new Mac and ipod...should I podcast?? What exactly is Podcasting? (I'm going to have to check out wikipedia.org for that answer and others...)

Stay tuned...don't touch that dial..choose life...trainspotting...Ewan McGregor...Obi Wan...sigh.

Beautiful Mexico

Ahhhhhaaa...view from the hammock. Kaillum II, June 13-16, 2005, a tad north of Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Beautiful sand, water, great facilities - this stop on the vacation gets a 9 out of 10 from this seasoned traveller. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Camping but not roughing it.

The guy on the other side of the cube...

Aargh. The guy on the other side of the cube from me is a GERD sufferer but it's me who is really suffering. Our building is not very loud and the cube farm (kind of like a server farm) is not heavily populated. On one side of me I have a bunch of newly graduated CSU students (they are funny and oh so very, very young) and on the other side of me, where Mr. gerd sits is contractor seating only. This guy drives me up the wall because he burps very loudly the entire day. I mean really loud. The good news is, he is done with this contract and today is supposed to be his last day. He just got off the phone calling and trying to get another contracting job here as well. I suppose if I were in his shoes I would be trying to get another job as well but I hope I don't have to listen to him anymore after 6 p.m. or even (please, please, please) earlier today. It was quite the learning "opportunity" to decide how to address his noisiness. I was talking with the floor administrator and I mentioned that he was disgusting and whether or not he had something wrong with him. She said she had heard that he burped a lot and apologized that he was so close to me. Why the heck doesn't he just go to a doctor and get this addressed? I really had wanted to put a note on his desk or talk to his contracting company or something...But as it is, it worked out on its' own. So now I know, thanks to google and the link above, all about GERD. Yuck.

Why Sarassheena?

Why Sarassheena? My first name is Sara and I've always liked the song, "Sheena is a punk rocker" by the Ramones. When I lived in Burlington, VT, I had a yellow Honda civic that I got plates for that stated (loud and proud) PUNKR. I've had purple and bright pink hair. I own records (yes lp's, vinyl, antiques whatever) by the Clash, Sex Pistols, Elvis Costello, Talking Heads, Blondie, B52's etc...even the Dead Kennedy's, X and Circle Jerks. Sheena is a cat person as I am. Sheena also brings to my mind, Sheena of the Jungle, and my other alter ego of Xena. Xena is her own topic, in and of herself. Xena is strong, curvaceous, loving, loyal. I do not believe Xena was bisexual or more than friendly with Gabriel, I just think she was adept at showing her love and caring for her friend. If you were a friend of Xena's, you were a friend for life and she would lay down hers for yours. She also had a kickass outfit. I have a bumper sticker, not on my car, but in my bathroom that asks the question, "what would Xena do?" and this believe it or not, has always been a good question for me to ponder before doing one of my numerous things. (ie, stupid things). What would Xena do? Would she turn and fight? Would she run away (never), would she go to the ends of earth for her friends? Sheena is also part of my first ever characters name in World of Warcraft. I took an "S" for Sara and made it SSheena and this blog is entitled, Sarassheena (as in Sara is Sheena).

My favorite place in the world

This is a picture of Provo..isn't the water beautiful? I could live there - the only drawback to the island is it is not very green compared with St. Johns, USVI, which is very plush and green.

This is Oliver - number 3 of 5 (middle cat syndrome)

This is Oliver. He is a cat. He is a grey tabby cat. See Oliver do a kitty cat smile. He is happy and fat. He likes to go on walks with me and the two dogs (pics to come) and some of the other kitties. His sister is named Umi after one of the characters in Magic Knights Rayearth.

I walk alone/story of my life

I walk the thin line between genious and insanity on a daily basis and sometimes I fall off on one side or the other.

Songs going through head:
I walk alone - Green Day (next concert - Sept 12, the "can" Pepsi Center, Denver, Co along with Jimmy Eat World) WOOO HOOO!!!

Story of my life - Social Distortion
