COLD - frigid, freezing, brrrrrrr

We got about 12 inches of snow here in Boulder and it wasn't even supposed to be more than 3. It is and was so cold yesterday and snowed off and on we didn't go skiing. I'm going next Monday and/or Saturday though.

Yesterday was a bad day for me, my timing was just off on everything and I was short tempered. I got lots of sleep last night so it's ok today. I missed the hot yoga class cause I was too late and couldn't find a parking spot and you just can't go into those late, I didn't have my sports bra on so when I went to take a cardio zip class I was bouncing all over and I didn't have any water with me so the instructor bitched at me for not drinking any water (even though I had drunk over a liter of fluids in preparation for the hot yoga class). I can't find my driver's license. The list goes on and on and on. Plus, my garage door doesn't still flush with the floor and it just lets in cold air like you wouldn't believe. I need to look into getting that fixed. Plus, I think I'll get the chimney cleaned out so I can have fires in the living room. NICE!

I had a bad dream last night. I was thinking too much before going to bed I guess and it came out in a dream.

I went to see my therapist yesterday which also might have gotten things going in my head.

Beautiful day outside today. Not a cloud in the sky and it's such a nice blue and everything is covered, covered in snow and it's cold and crisp.

I have tennis today!!! Yippee!

I have to figure out how to put some tunes in here. Right now I'm listening to "The way you move" originally done by Outkast but right now I'm listening to (aargh..what is up with me??) Kenny G and Earth Wind and Fire which thankfully, has segued right into a much more upbeat and more "Sara" early a.m. music ... a Global Underground CD featuring Nick Warren DJ'ing in Shanghai. I love the Global Underground CD's.

Today

I have ordered some of my absolute favorite candy - finally. I may or may not order a nice big marzipan stollen. (Yup, I'm going too..what is Xmas without stollen and lebkuchen?). I am reading my book and will finish it today. So far it reminds me of the little Mormon girl that got swiped outside of her house in Salt Lake City and the return of the Austria girl after being kidnapped and kept in a basement for 10 years, but we will see. It is entitled, "The Uses of Enchantment" by Heidi Julavits.

I'm a little sore from the Hot Yoga yesterday but I felt sooooo good after finishing it. I LOVE hot temperatures.

What else... I've been listening to more of Banco de Gaia I especially like the song, Kara Kum. I'm hoping my kids call today as they called me yesterday from Germany and it was midnight their time. I swear to whomever/whatever their sff is an idiot. Staying up so late. WTF? He is such an asshole. Such a challenge NOT voicing my opinion of him to them.

For fun, I'm also looking at this candy link.

Sunday morning

I am cleaning my room and thinking about what all to do today. I'd like to try a Hot Yoga class as I love hot, hot temperatures so much. Plus, I'm working on my flexability. Ha HA! I just got ahold of my trainer and I'm going to start working out with her again. On one hand I'm scared/not looking forward to it because I know how hard she works me and how sore I've been and how I've almost passed out and/or puked BUT it's all good.

This past week I've done yoga once, skied once, played tennis at least 4 or 5 times, done cardio/interval classes 4 times so I'm getting back into it.

I ordered a new Leedom helmet, new Bolle goggles (with lenses that adjust to the light), bought some nice new ski socks, dropped off my K2 Phat Luv skis to get tuned - I'm so ready for a good season. Oh, and I got some nifty new long underwear as well.

I was listening to one of my favorite DJ's on Radio 1190 this a.m. - she only does the Sat/Sunday shows and of course, found a great new artist that I had to buy a couple of albums of off Itunes.

The artist is Banco de Gaia. I bought both Farewell Ferengistan and Igizeh. I also bought this one single by this guy who goes by A.G. The single is A Giant by Design. Gotta love a hip hop song that samples, Do you really wanna hurt me? Great music.

Ok. I have to go buy some more corn for squirrely (I think I feed about 10 of them but they all answer to squirrel). I have to go downtown to return a shirt that I bought yesterday for a bigger size - I am not a small! I have to go buy some coffee.

Casino Royale - yummy..maybe blonds aren't so bad

"Perfectly formed ass" From this girls perspective not enough shots of it to come to a conclusive opinion to that statement but I would love to, and I will in the next James Bond movie, get a change to peruse it in further detail.

Why was he driving a GD Ford for Pete's sake???? Where was the fancy smancy BMW?

All in all a pretty good movie. Not the best I've seen but 3.5 stars out of 5 minimum.

Worked out and played tennis too yesterday. Then got tennis ratings for the year. I'm still a 3.0. STUPID USTA dynamic ratings my ASS. A couple of people I know got moved up to 3.5 that I know are not better than me but I guess that's ok cause I should be at the very top of the 3.0's now so can get some more hardware/trophys this coming year and I can play up whereas if you are a 3.5 you can't play down. Unbelieveable how they do the ratings. Whatever. I'm going to be like Hilarie was this year. Rated a 3.0 and winning at 3.5 matches and not getting my rating changed until now. I wrote my bestest and favorite tennis teacher to set up some lessons/clinic, my bestest and favorite personal trainer to start working out with her again and I SOLD THE FRIGGING LEXUS yesterday as well.

Skiing was a blast!

I'm so glad I have found some girlfriends to go skiing with! This winter is going to be fun. I'm going to go every week (or attempt to at least). One week on Monday and the next week (which I going on next Wednesday, the 29th) Wednesday. We didn't see too many cute guys today - lots of families for Thanksgiving week - but we are there to ski first any extra added bonus is just a plus. We made lots of runs and skied hard. I was sooooo glad to get my boots off.

I played a little WOW but it's just not the same and it's not really fun. I'm waiting for Heroes to be on and then I'm going right to bed as I was up and moving around at 5 a.m. today - getting stuff together, taking dogs for walk, putting trash out etc.

I hope the kids are having a good time in Deutschland with their dad. Tomorrow I want to go see Casino Royale as well. Busy day! Workout, bank, running around, getting bindings, etc, tennis, movie, getting ready for work.

I am not happy

I'm having a miserable day and have been having miserable days and it's so hard to keep my thoughts off and turn my feelings off. I'm going and I'm going and I'm working out and I'm taking care of myself and I'm going skiing on Monday with the girls and I'm playing tennis and I'm doing everything "it" says you should do when you are hurting but I'm miserable. I alternate between being very angry and very sad.

Screw this. I'm going to put a beer in the fridge and go walk the dogs and get ready for work tomorrow.

This whole post should be in black..with thunder clouds..dark, dark dark.

BONUS TIME!

WOOO HOO! I got an amazingly large bonus this year and a decent raise. I also solved a problem (I can call it a problem cause I'm not at work - at work it would be an "issue") at work yesterday that got Senior Vice President eyes on it.

Also, Frontier just partnered with Air Tran so I'm planning my vacation for next summer. I'd like to go to Cat Island in the Bahamas. I have enough United miles for a free flight to Hawaii so I'd like to go there as well. I don't think United flys to Turks and Caicos or into St. Thomas, I'll have to look and since Kathi wants to apply (she has her applications almost all done, now she just has to get the portfolio finished) to the Cleveland Institute of Art (she can get a masters in medical illustration), California College of the Arts and the San Francisco Art Institute that means a trip to Cleveland (I told her we ARE going to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame) and a trip to San Francisco/Oakland and then of course, we didn't go to NYC in October so we are going to go in the spring...so LOTS of traveling. I do miss going to LA for LOTS of reasons. Maybe I will still move out there in a few years. I would love to live on the beach or within walking distance of the beach.

Note - the Beatles aren't available on Itunes. Weird. I'm listening to a favorite podcast of mine - will add the link and they are playing a song of the Beatles LOVE cd (used in the new Cirque du Soleil show in Vegas). OMG, I just shouldn't listen to podcasts while blogging.. I just bought two cd's - one by an Australian band - the Cat Empire and now one called, Jesus H. Christ and the Four Hornsmen of the Apocalypse - they are currently singing a song called "Connecticut's for F*cking"...it's funny!!!!

Gotta get busy this a.m. Tennis this afternoon!

What a DAY!!!

Happy Fall!

Wow! Rummy stepping down, Democrats taking control of both the House and the Senate, Boulder passing measure 202 which brings us inline with the Kyoto Protocol goal. It was Kathi's first time voting and she was upset not to have gotten a pin or something that said she voted. She said all her friends at high school wanted to vote and were all excited for her that she got to vote. Plus, it was Nicole's birthday! And it was about 80 some degrees outside which is why I went for a jog instead of taking a nap in the car and now my back hurts.

Tomorrow I'm getting the Lexus all detailed and buffed out and then hopefully, it will sell the next time someone looks at it. I'm tired of putting money into it.

Today's interesting site is: seatguru.com which will tell you what seats are best to get no matter what kind of airline you are on. I once made the mistake of getting the seats infront of the emergency row in the middle of the plan only to discover I couldn't recline my seat at all. I also really enjoy shopping for things from Flight 001.

What's on the menu for today? Finish reading the November Oprah magazine (thrills), finish reading the Nov/Dec Bookmarks magazine and adding books to my wishlist on Amazon (someone has the music from the original Star Trek for their ringtone here in the vacinity), start another book - something or other. Workout. Go home. Walk the dogs, drive the kids or have the kids drive me down to the talent show. OHHH..I'm out of cat food..must get cat food. Same ol same ol but tomorrow... lots of stuff - tennis two times, working out, just having 3 days off in a row will be good.

Turning point - and no, not the old movie

OK.. enough of this shit.

Working out again. Lots and hard. I'm going to be so sore tomorrow from the class I just took this a.m. at 8:30 at Mountains Edge. I can't link with Safari and this blog thing so I'll have to go to the pc and fix it up. Now, I'm going to go to get a massage from my favorite massage lady (masseuse) for 90 MINUTES! Yippee. I'm going now so I can sit in the steamroom and shower etc first. Lovely. It is nice and warm and sunny today. Maybe even after the massage I will go see a movie. What a treat. And you know what??? I F*ing deserve it. Then I'm playing tennis with Max at 5 after which I will probably collapse of exhaustion and go to sleep at 9 p.m. again.

Wonderful way to take care and nuture myself and get my head back on the right way... refocus on me. First I have to get out of this disgustingly sweaty sports bra that I've had on since class this a.m. YUCK!

In MY world this would happen...

The 14,000 people that Rev Haggard ministered to and led, would realize that hey, Love is Love and it doesn't matter what sex is with what sex and it's wrong to say just because you two are males or two females, you can't get married and you can't be in love.

This is SUCH A PERFECT OPPORTUNITY for all those closed eyes to get opened. Instead we hear words thrown around like..."sexually immoral conduct" and "repulsive". Why oh why oh why can't something good come from this? Something ground breaking? Why can't all those so called Christians, see that just because someone is gay (of course, he isn't going to admit this, his "lifelong" problem) that they can still preach and be religious and be moral and be capable of teaching people about Christ?
AARGH! He was PRESIDENT of an organization with over 30 MILLION MEMBERS. Can you imagine that???

This world is so FUCKED UP. Alright, I'll admit it, I'm pretty angry these days. I don't like dark, I don't like winter (except when I'm on the slopes). I want to spend a year just experiencing spring and summer and not early spring but spring where it's not going to get cold and it's light early and stays light long and summer when it is HOT. I WILL do that at some point in my life. I have goals, I have motivation and initiative and I don't sit around waiting for life to "happen" to me. I am so fucking pissed off right now. Time to listen to some nice music - where is my ipod - and read. What to listen to... let's see?... I think, I think...

I am not afraid of you and I will kick your (MOTHERFUCKING - my add) ASS!

I'd like to go out on the tennis court and just hit overheads and do it well. Nothing like hitting a good overhead and/or hitting the ball so hard it scares the people on the other side of the court from you.... or going down the alley repeatedly on the same person on BOTH sides!!! Plus, looking really cute in a really cute tennis skirt/outfit.. (now I'm smiling!!) Sigh... Roger...

SAVE THE CHEERLEADER, SAVE THE WORLD!

Daddy does speed/meth and gets "massages"

Ahhh, the MORAL RIGHT!

So, Rev. Ted Haggard - threw the crank away (just like Clinton didn't inhale) and only got a "massage" (perhaps a hand massage..with a hand just on one stiff hard muscle that really needed some serious relief). HMMMMMM... I smell BULLSHIT Rev!!!
Married with 5 children and of course, is totally against gay marriage/same sex domestic partnerships. Conservative Christians are the worst. Close minded, bigoted assholes the entire lot of them. Do as I say, not as I do. Cnn.com baby.
ONLY YOU CAN DECIDE! VOTE, VOTE, VOTE!

I just finished, "Invisible Monsters" by Chuck Palahniuk. I have read Fight Club, Haunted, Diary, and own but haven't read, Survivor, Choke, and Stranger than Fiction. I don't think I have Lullaby. Haunted was the weirdest. Now, I'm going to start, The Wind-up Bird Chronicle.

Great workout down in the gym with my ipod and my workouts that I purchased from iTrain.com. I'd love to give another program a try (cause they have some great trainers like Keli Roberts) but unfortunately, their program/software is NOT MAC COMPATiBLE. Pisses me off that companies use the word "pod" in their names when they aren't MAC COMPATIBLE.
